The Best Elden Ring Mods to Download

What are the best Elden Ring mods?

There is a lot to love in Elden Ring, and you can easily spend hours playing through it with various character builds.

However, while the vanilla game is pretty near perfect, there is still room for improvement, and the modding community has provided.

This is where these mods come in, and we’ve made sure to add a little something for everyone on this list!

The 10 Best Elden Ring Mods

These mods have been chosen because they enhance the gameplay experience to make it more customizable for players.

We made sure to only include mods that complement the base game so that nothing is taken away from the best parts of the game!

That being said, let’s get right into our list of the 10 best Elden Ring mods:

10. Seamless Co-Op

Best Elden Ring Mods Seamless Co Op

Kicking off our list, we have Seemless Co-Op, a mod that makes it a lot easier to enjoy the game with your friends.

While Elden Ring is already one of the best multiplayer PS5 games, this mod changes things up a bit.

The vanilla game uses an online multiplayer system that is similar to Dark Souls games, allowing players to summon friends to help with bosses.

However, once the boss fight is done, players are kicked out, back to their own worlds, until you are able to summon them again.

Although this system makes sense in linear worlds, such as those in Dark Souls, it’s a bit out of place in the open world of Elden Ring.

That is where this mod comes in, and it removes a lot of the restrictions found in the base game.

When this mod is enabled, you can connect with up to five other players without having to worry about being disconnected.

This means you and your friends can explore the world together and not just help each other with boss fights.

That said, Seemless Co-Op is currently in beta, so don’t expect it to be 100% free of bugs.

Fortunately, it is constantly being worked on and updated, so you won’t have to worry about problems lasting for long!

9. Grand Merchant

Best Elden Ring Mods Grand Merchant

Merchants can be a saving grace in Elden Ring, and they are some of the most helpful NPCs you can run into while exploring.

Using what runes you can spare, you can stock up on anything, provided the merchant you’ve found has what you need.

However, the downside is that not all merchants sell everything, and if you’re in need of something specific, it can be tricky to find.

This mod seeks to change things by giving players easy access to all items, similar to the Honest Merchant in Dark Souls 3.

When this mod is enabled, it will turn Merchant Kale into a Grand Merchant that will provide access to everything in the game.

If Merchant Kale is dead in your playthrough, there is also a simple version of this mod that allows you to craft things for no cost.

What makes this mod great is that it allows anyone, regardless of level, access to the best equipment and spells.

That said, make sure not to use this mod while playing online because it could result in you being banned.

The Grand Merchant is definitely geared toward those replaying the game who just want to have fun with the best gear!

8. Item And Enemy Randomizer

Best Elden Ring Mods Item And Enemy Randomizer

Speaking of mods to use when replaying the game, this is another one that makes things a bit more interesting.

After beating the game and becoming the Elden Lord, you probably won’t want the fun to end, which is where this mod comes in.

As the name suggests, Item and Enemy Randomizer makes all enemies and items become completely randomized.

This includes shop items, enemy drops, and even your own class loadout, which forces players to think outside of the box.

You won’t be able to rely on your knowledge of where things were during your first playthrough, making things a bit more challenging.

Things just aren’t shuffled willy-nilly either, and instead, this mod ensures item and enemy placements make sense.

Important items are also tied to progression, so that their significance isn’t wasted, and they will always be in locations where you can’t miss them.

If you want to playthrough Elden Ring again but don’t want everything to be entirely the same, this is a must-have mod for you!

7. Easy Mode For Elden Ring

Best Elden Ring Mods Easy Mode

Elden Ring can be an incredibly difficult game, and it has no difficulty options to make it easier for players.

This means a lot of players who are not used to the Dark Souls level of difficulty could struggle, especially when fighting tough bosses.

Fortunately, the modding community has a solution for anyone who wants to enjoy the game without feeling frustrated.

This Easy Mode mod comes with three difficulty options to choose from, allowing players to better control their gameplay experiences.

One version reduces damage by 50% while raising attack by 25% and giving players 2x hit radius and 2x healing.

The second does the same but also adds 10x runes while making weapon reinforcement require only one material.

Lastly, the final option combines all of the above while removing weapons, armor, and accessory weight.

It also has FP cost for magic, ashes, or skills, increased weapon scaling, fast disease healing, and +10 to all starting statuses.

Elden Ring is one of the best video games of all time, and this mod helps make it more accessible to casual players.

There is no shame in wanting to enjoy a game without needing to struggle, which is why we highly recommend this mod!

6. Elden Ring Reforged

Best Elden Ring Mods Elden Ring Reforged

If you want to experience Elden Ring in a brand new way, Elden Ring Reforged is the mod for you.

This mod is a complete revision of Elden Ring’s gameplay mechanics, and it also comes with some significant balance changes.

Reforged covers enemies, bosses, general hitboxes, equipment, animations, camera positioning, and more.

Some of the new mechanics that have been added include a new timed block feature and a new class system with themed abilities.

Bosses also have custom camera perimeters during their fights to make battling them feel more dynamic.

Moreover, the enemy AI has been modified to include new mechanics and unused attacks that were found in the game’s files.

This mod also comes with its own difficulty options that can be accessed anytime using a Site of Grace.

If that wasn’t enough, you can also resurrect bosses at the Roundtable Hold so that you can fight them all over again!

Elden Ring Reforged is a fantastic addition to the game, and its changes have helped make it one of the most downloaded Nexus mods.

5. First-Person Souls

Best Elden Ring Mods First Person Souls

Elden Ring is one of the best PS5 third-person games, but not everyone is a fan of the POV while playing.

If you’re someone who is used to playing in first person, the switch to a third-person camera can take some getting used to.

Fortunately, there is a mod that completely overhauls the perspective to make a first-person viewpoint possible in Elden Ring.

This mod introduces a new POV while subtly adjusting the gameplay mechanics to make the experience as smooth as possible.

While the perspective is the biggest change, this mod introduces new custom HUD elements and animation tracking.

It also makes changes to player movement to make the first-person perspective look and feel natural.

All of the new features can be easily configured using either the mods .ini file or the in-game settings menu.

We feel like this mod adds a bit of extra immersion, and it is definitely amazing to experience boss fights in the first person!

4. Pause The Game

Best Elden Ring Mods You Paused

While you can technically pause the game by opening the menu explanation function, this gets old really fast.

Although Souls games are notorious for not letting players pause, sometimes things come up, and you need to step away from the game for a bit.

When this happens, you’ll want to have this handy mod installed that allows you to easily pause without jumping through a ton of hoops.

With Pause the Game installed, Elden Ring will pause whenever you open your menus, giving you time to breathe.

This means you can look through all of your items, take a bathroom break, or grab a snack without worrying about being attacked.

Best of all, this mod works for both keyboards and controllers, so no matter how you play the game, this mod will work.

Using the .ini, you can easily rebind your set pause key to be anything you want using the key mapping list in the mod’s description.

While we’d love to play Elden Ring for hours without stopping, sometimes you have to take a quick break, making this mod a must-have!

3. Clever’s Moveset Modpack

Best Elden Ring Mods Clevers Moveset Modpack

Have you ever wanted to be a martial arts master or a firebender in Elden Ring? If so, this mod is for you!

This mod is absolutely incredible, and it adds a ton of new moves that fit perfectly into the world of Elden Ring.

Along with firebending, airbending, and earthbending have also been added, along with a special martial arts move set.

Other move sets include Marais Dancing Blade, Deathborne Odachi, Storm Demon, Deathwalker, and Frenzied Reaper.

To use these moves, you will need to find their corresponding weapons, which allow you to perform special actions while they’re equipped.

Not only do some of these moves make Elden Ring feel like one of the best fighting games of all time, but they look absolutely amazing!

Everything in this mod is so well done that it looks and feels like it could have been included in the vanilla game.

2. Elden Ring Ascended

Best Elden Ring Mods Elden Ring Ascended

While we covered easy mode above, what if you thought Elden Ring wasn’t hard enough? If you fall into this camp, you need this mod!

Elden Ring Ascended was created to bring the ultimate challenge to players who felt the vanilla game wasn’t punishing enough.

When you download this mod, you will have the ability to choose from one of three difficulty modes.

These are Age of Stars, Age of Frenzy, and for players who enjoy dying, Age of Death, which is the most difficult of all.

Each of these modes will add an additional 50% more damage from enemies, but higher levels also add additional difficulties.

If you dare to try Age of Death, expect enemies to be faster and more numerous while you lose runes at a consistent rate.

Oh, and it will always be nighttime, so night spawns and elites will constantly be lurking around the world!

You’ve heard of the hardest video game levels; well, they’ll look like a cakewalk compared to this Elden Ring mod!

1. Bosses And NPCs And Custom Spirit Summons

Best Elden Ring Mods Bosses And NPCs And Custom Spirit Summons

Taking our number one spot is this enormous mod which adds a ton of new summons to the game that you can play with.

While the vanilla game allows players to use a few NPCs, online friends, and spirit summons, there is a limit to these abilities.

This mod aims to overhaul all of that by adding a mind-boggling 187 new summons to Elden Ring.

Using this mod, you can summon custom-named NPCs, different types of enemies, and even bosses to help you in combat!

If you’re a fan of the anime Berserk, you’ll also be pleased to know that you can even summon Guts!

You can easily spend hours messing around with this mod and testing out everything that it adds.

However, that is just part of the appeal, and we highly recommend this mod if you’ve beaten the game and are looking for some extra fun!
