ALEX STARDEW VALLEY: CHARACTER INFORMATION

Alex is one of the 12 bachelors and bachelorettes available for romancing, dating, or marriage in Stardew Valley. He loves football, making it one of the central topics of conversation whenever you talk to him. Also, he exercises daily and loves being outdoors when it’s not raining or playing at the beach during summers. He lives with his grandparents, George and Evelyn, in Pelican Town and has a dog named Dusty. His birthday is on Summer 13.

You will find Alex standing just outside of his home every 8:00 AM except for Summers when he leaves about 10 minutes earlier to go to the beach, Winters where he goes to the Spa every 9:00 AM or rainy days where he remains in the entryway. This makes Alex very easy to find even early on in the game, and you can always make a point to talk to him every day and give him gifts if you want to increase his heart levels.

You will also find him in his room during the afternoons, lifting weights. If you have more than 2 heart levels with Alex, you can go inside his room and talk to him, unlocking new events and conversations.

ALEX STARDEW VALLEY: EVENTS AND ROMANCE

This won’t be an Alex Stardew Valley Romance guide without all the info you need to start dating this bachelor! Below are his event guide, heart level details, and gifting information.

Event Guide (according to heart level requirements)

Two Hearts

Visit the beach in Summer when the sun is out. You will find Alex there, and his Two Hearts event will start. You will play gridball, and he’ll talk about his dream of becoming a pro gridball player for Stardew Valley.

Four Hearts

Between 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, visit the town. You will find Alex next to the dog pen, and his Four Hearts event will begin. He is talking to his dog, Dusty.

Five Hearts

Go to Alex’s house when he’s inside. His Five Heart event will start as soon as you come in. He will be insecure about the fact that he hasn’t read any books in his bookcase.

Six Hearts

Go to Alex’s house when he’s inside. His Five Heart event will start as soon as you come in. You will receive an apology from Alex for being rude in your earlier conversations.

Eight Hearts

Visit the beach in Summer when the sun is out, and you will find Alex there. Or you can also visit the Ginger Island Resort when Alex is there. His Eight Hearts event will start in either place. You will have a heart-to-heart about his mother, who died 12 years ago.

Ten Hearts

You will receive a letter from Alex in the mail. He will invite you to meet him at the Saloon after dark, which means you’ll have to go to the Saloon between 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. This will be an actual date with Alex, where he will confess his feelings for you, and you will be asked to make a decision as to whether or not you feel the same way.

Ten Hearts – Dating Multiple Bachelors

If you’ve given a Bouquet to all the bachelors in town, have 10 heart levels with all of them, and have seen all their 10 heart level events, you will trigger a cutscene upon entering Stardrop Saloon.

Having a Rabbit’s Foot in your inventory will make the cutscene into a harmless game of pool, so keep one on at all times if you decide to go this route!

If you don’t have a Rabbit’s foot, you will be confronted about dating all of the bachelors and will be ignored or treated coldly by every one of them for about a week.

Fourteen Hearts – Married to Alex

Go out of your farmhouse in your second year or beyond, between 6:00 AM to 8:20 AM for any day except Sunday. Make sure you have at least 5,000g. Alex will be asking you for the money for a “secret project” he’s working on.

Gifting

Alex is an athlete and loves healthy food above all. As they say, a way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, and this is especially true with Alex. Make sure you also give a Loved gift on his birthday (Summer 13), to maximize his heart levels!
