The Best Games Like Among Us

What are the best games like Among Us?

Among Us has quickly become one of the go-to games to play with friends, and it’s even spawned a series of popular memes.

Although this game has a lot of replayability, if you’re in the mood for something new, there are a lot of options, thanks to numerous clones.

However, some Among Us clones can be hit and miss, which is why we’ve decided to root out the Imposters to find the best of the best!

The 10 Best Games Like Among Us

We’ve played many games similar to Among Us to determine which ones have gameplay that can live up to the original.

Along with playing these games ourselves, we’ve also looked at reviews from other players to find out which games are the most popular.

If you’re ready to find your next go-to game, here’s our list of the 10 best games like Among Us:

10. Unfortunate Spacemen

Games Like Among Us Unfortunate Spacemen

Unfortunate Spacemen entered early access in 2016, two years before the release of Among Us, and it is surprisingly similar.

This game is all about trying to call for rescue as a monster hunts down you and your friends, though not everyone may be on your side.

There is a good chance that a shapeshifting traitor may be in your midst, doing everything that they can to sabotage your efforts.

As Spacemen, there are different objectives you will have to complete to call for rescue, though you can also try and hunt the monster if you want.

However, if you’re playing as the monster, you can lay traps, disguise yourself as other players, or just straight-up kill people in your true form!

Outside of shapeshifter mode, which hosts up to 16 players, there is also a story mode and a survival mode.

Both are solo or co-op, with story mode supporting 5 players and survival supporting up to 9.

Story mode tasks you with fighting Crumerian insect swarms through a progressing plot, while Survival is all about holding out against waves of enemies.

While you can do these solo, similar to the best games like A Way Out, Unfortunate Spacemen is much more enjoyable to play with friends!

9. Secret Neighbor

Games Like Among Us Secret Neighbor

While some found Hello Neighbor’s sequel to be more frustrating than scary, Secret Neighbor has turned out to be a phenomenal hit.

This game has no solo mode and, instead, is a multiplayer game where players have to break into the creepy neighbor’s equally unsettling basement.

Secret Neighbor allows 6 people to play together, and everyone has to cooperate in order to collect the keys to unlock the basement door.

However, not everyone is who they appear to be, and one player is secretly the neighbor in disguise, trying to sabotage everyone else’s efforts!

The player tasked with being the neighbor can set up traps for other players while trying to sow seeds of doubt that anyone but them is the traitor.

Best of all, if the pre-made maps are getting too easy for you and your friends, you can create your own mazelike houses and invite your friends over!

8. Werewolf Online

Games Like Among Us Werewolf Online

Werewolf Online is a bit similar to the best games like Clash of Clans in that you have to collect resources and defend your village from invading evil forces.

It is also one of the best games like Among Us which is specifically for mobile devices, and it supports up to 16 players at once.

There are multiple villages and teams in each game, but like Among Us, there are imposters and liars in every village.

In order to win the game, you have to be the last team standing that has successfully ousted all of the traitors in your town.

However, this is easier said than done, as all of the traitors will be using deception to try and stay in the game as long as possible.

If you’re an Among Us fan and are looking for a similar game to play on your phone, Werewolf Online is by far the best!

7. Town of Salem

Games Like Among Us Town of Salem

Named after the town famous for its witch trials, this game is all about finding out which townsfolk are out to kill you before they get the chance.

In Town of Salem, players are randomly divided into different roles split into three categories: Town, Neutral, and Mafia.

Currently, there are 35 unique roles you can be assigned, including Sheriff, Vigilante, Doctor, Godfather, Pirate, and Serial Killer.

Each role can do different things; for instance, Doctors can heal people, Sheriffs can interrogate suspects, and Serial Killers can stealthily take out other players.

This game supports between 7 and 15 players, and the goal is for the people assigned to the Town category to track down the evil-aligned players.

All of the devious action takes place at night, and during the day, Town members can discuss who they want to accuse of being a baddie.

A vote will then begin where everyone gets a chance to vote for who they think should be put on trial.

While the accused can plead their innocence, it is ultimately up to the Town to vote for their fate, and if found guilty, the unfortunate player will be hanged!

6. Hidden In Plain Sight

Games Like Among Us Hidden In Plain Sight

Hidden in Plain Sight is a local multiplayer game that tasks players with blending in with AI characters and killing others before they can kill you!

While there is no online multiplayer, this game is perfect for playing when you have friends over.

In the main game mode, players take control of characters surrounded by identical NPCs, which they have to blend in with.

The goal is to hide from the other players and take them out before they can take you out.

There is also a mode called Death Race, where each player gets a gun with one bullet, which they can use to eliminate another player.

In this mode, players have to race against each other to try and cross the finish line first. However, sprinting ahead can draw attention to yourself, causing someone else to use their bullet.

This is easily one of the best multiplayer games of all time, and it’s a must-play when you have friends over!

5. Enemy On Board

Games Like Among Us Enemy On Board

Like Among Us and Unfortunate Spacemen, Enemy on Board is a 6v2 game where players have to determine who is a shapeshifting alien.

The main goal is to hunt down the aliens and kill them while also repairing the generators which are needed to call for rescue.

While the main crew members are doing this, the aliens will be trying to wreak havoc by thwarting their efforts using whatever means necessary.

Crew members can also find the armory to grab weapons, and if you’re able to survive long enough, you can turn into a cyborg!

Once you’re a cyborg, you can easily tear through the aliens, but surviving that long is easier said than done!

A violent social deception game, Enemy On Board is a great game for any and all fans of Among Us!

4. Dread Hunger

Games Like Among Us Dread Hunger

Dread Hunger is a 6v2 survival and social deduction game, but it comes with a very unique twist.

Set in the tactic following a perilous expedition, players will have to try and survive in the unforgiving environment.

This involves hunting for food, building fires to stay warm, and fending off packs of hungry wolves looking for their next meal.

Of course, among the eight-person crew are two traitors who can call on dark forces to use blood magic to hex other players.

These traitors can also feed others tainted food, lure them into animal attacks, or simply shoot them in the back!

Dread Hunger is a great combination of a wilderness survival game mixed with a social deduction co-op, and it’s really addicting to play.

If you’re a fan of the best games like Escape from Tarkov and Among Us, you will find a lot to enjoy in this incredible game!

3. Project Winter

Games Like Among Us Project Winter

Moving from the Arctic to another frozen wonderland, we have Project Winter, an 8-person multiplayer game that’s all about survival and betrayal.

While the ultimate goal is to escape, survivors will have to work together in the meantime to stay alive.

There are a series of objectives you have to complete in order to be rescued that will allow you to call a rescue vehicle.

This includes completing tasks to repair the cabin radio while crafting items to stay alive and harvesting what little food you can.

However, if you’re one of the traitors, your goal will be to stop the survivors from escaping while staying under the radar.

Traitors can communicate with each other via a special radio while finding hatches and crates throughout the map to gain advantages over the survivors.

In this game, everyone will have to try and work together without really ever knowing who they can trust, because the traitors can always spread lies.

Although the traitors are weak and outnumbered in the beginning, this can quickly change, leaving the survivors scrambling to stay alive.

2. Betrayal.io

Games Like Among Us Betrayal.io

Betrayal is a game played with 6 to 12 players, and everyone has to work together to try and find out who is the betrayer.

There are multiple different roles that players can be assigned, including sheriffs and jesters, alongside the crew members and betrayers.

Sheriffs are tasked with protecting their fellow crew members while gathering information to eliminate the betrayer.

Meanwhile, the Jesters have to try and convince everyone that they’re the betrayer so that they’ll be voted out, at which point they’ll win.

After every round, players will have to get together and vote out someone they think is the betrayer, though voting out innocent players is always a risk.

There are a variety of maps to play in, as well as different game modes, including hide and seek, where players have to avoid the betrayer and a monster.

If you just want to chill out with friends after a game, Betrayal also has a fishing lobby where you can complete quests and try to catch the biggest fish!

Yes, like the best games like Skyrim, this game has its own fishing mini-game, which we absolutely love.

1. Deceit

Games Like Among Us Deceit

Taking our number one spot is Deceit, a multiplayer shooter played from a first-person perspective.

In this game, 6 players wake up in an unknown location where the voice of the Gamemaster will instruct them on their tasks.

A third of the players will be infected with a virus and tasked with taking down the innocent players, while the innocents must fight to stay alive.

If you are innocent, you must try to navigate through three zones while picking up items that you think will help you survive.

You can choose to collaborate with other players or take an every-man-for-himself approach and try to go it alone.

Every decision you make will help you uncover more about the other players and where their loyalties lie, increasing your chances of staying alive.

However, the very environment you’re playing in is designed to sow mistrust and conflict, so you will really have to keep your wits about you.

When you make it to the end of a zone, a blackout will occur, allowing infected players to transform and attack the innocent.

Deceit is the perfect combination of deception and horror, and it is highly recommended for anyone who loves Among Us.
