Here, we’ll discuss some of the rarest items in Escape from Tarkov, their value, and how to obtain them.

 

10. Lab. Black Keycard

The Lab. Black Keycard is one of several keycards available in Escape from Tarkov.

These are important for unlocking certain rooms that contain loot.

In the case of the Lab. Black Keycard, this includes a med case and several loose medical items (Stimulators).

There are various types of Stimulators, each with its own effects.

Lab. Black Keycard Spawn Locations:

Though it is a rare item, the Lab. Black Keycard actually has a variety of spawn locations.

These include:

  • Scavs (pocket and bags)
  • Marked Room in Customs (wallets and document cases)
  • Reserve (on Glukhar)
  • Woods (on Shturman)
  • The Lab (laboratory block G22 and room O11)

To get into block G22, you will need to get the Lab. Green Keycard.

 

9. T H I C C Weapon Case

The T H I C C Weapon case is a type of container that saves a significant amount of space in your inventory.

It takes up 10 of your inventory slots, but it gives you an additional 90 inventory slots in return, netting an extra 80 slots in your inventory.

It is important to note that it cannot be stored in your backpack.

A funny fact about this one is that the name “T H I C C” is actually a reference to the internet term “thick”, meaning the case is quite large.

How to Obtain the T H I C C Weapon Case:

To get the T H I C C Weapon case, you will need to complete the “Perfect mediator” quest.

This quest can be granted by a number of NPCs after you have reached the 4th level of standing with them.

Along with the T H I C C Weapon case, you get experience points, Prapor rep, and roubles.

 

8. ULTRA Medical Storage Key

The ULTRA medical storage key unlocks the medical storage located in the Ultra shopping center.

Within this storage room, you will find:

  • Silver Badge
  • Portable defibrillator
  • LEDX skin transilluminator

  • Variety of loose medical loot

ULTRA Medical Storage Key Spawn Locations:

The key has a small chance to spawn in a few different areas.

These include:

  • Jackets
  • Pocket Scavs
  • Bag Scavs
  • EMERCOM medical unit (Medbag SMU06)

In addition, in order to use the key, the Interchange power station must be switched on.

 

7. T-7 Thermal Goggles with Night Vision Mounts

The T-7 Thermal Goggles are an extremely useful tool in Escape from Tarkov.

They have the features of night vision goggles with updated thermal imaging. The range is about 250 meters.

These goggles are so rare because they do not have any in-game spawn.

Instead, you will either need to loot it from another PMC or purchase it from Jaeger, an NPC dealer that you can unlock through the “Introduction” Mechanic quest.

 

6. Lab. Blue Keycard

The Lab. Blue Keycard unlocks the laboratory quarantine zone (G11) located in The Lab. Within this room, you will find loose medical loot and two medcases.

It is important to note that you can only carry two Lab. Blue Keycards in a PMC inventory at one time.

Lab. Blue Keycard Spawn Locations:

The Lab. Blue Keycard can spawn in several different locations. These are:

  • Woods (Shturman’s body)
  • Reserve (Glukhar’s body)
  • Shoreline (Sanitar’s body, passenger door of the ambulance in front of the resort, desk in West Wing Office 104, West Wing Office 112, and pockets and bags carried by Scavs).

 

5. Items Case

The Items Case is another type of container used to save inventory space.

It provides an additional 64 inventory slots and takes up 16 inventory slots, netting you an additional 48 slots. It can’t be stored inside a backpack.

It can store everything except for other Items Cases, Lucky Scav Junbox, T H I C C Weapons Case, T H I C C Items Case, and a Pistol Case.

How to Obtain the Items Case:

To get the Items case, you will need to trade items to Elvira Khabibullina, also known as “Therapist”.

You trade 140 dog tags at or higher than level 15.

You could also trade a combination of 20 ophthalmoscopes and 15 piles of meds.

 

4. T H I C C Items Case

The T H I C C Items case is seriously one of the best storage containers you can get in Escape from Tarkov.

It takes up 15 inventory slots, but it grants you 196 inventory slots, meaning that you’ll receive an additional 181 inventory slots.

Like the other containers, it does have some limitations. You can’t store it in a backpack, and it can’t hold an Items case, Lucky Scav Junkbox, T H I C C Items case, Pistol case, or Paper ammo boxes.

How to Obtain the T H I C C Items Case:

There are two different ways that you can obtain the T H I C C Items case.

  1. First, you can get it as a reward for the “Private clinic” quest.
  2. Second, you can trade various items for it with the Therapist.

The first shopping list for this trade includes:

  • 14 portable defibrillators
  • 14 LEDX skin transilluminators
  • 12 Ibuprofen painkillers
  • 12 bottles of toothpaste

The other shopping list includes:

  • 50 bottles of “Fierce Hatchling” moonshine
  • 35 bottles of vodka tarkovskaya
  • 30 bottles of Dan Jackiel whiskey

 

3. Lab. Green Keycard

The Lab. Green Keycard gets you access to laboratory block G22 in The Lab. You get more out of this room than the ones we’ve mentioned previously.

For sure, you will find a med case, loose medical loot, a 4×4 weapon box, and loose weapon ammo and mods.

In addition, there is a chance for a number of other objects to spawn. These include:

  • LEDX skin transilluminator
  • 2 folders with intelligence
  • MP5 submachine gun

You will use this card in the “Colleagues – Part 3” quest, similar to the Lab. Blue Keycard.

Lab. Green Keycard Spawn Locations:

There are a few different spawn locations. These include:

  • Scavs (pockets and bags)
  • The Interchange (on Killa)
  • The Lab (shelf in the back of the security arsenal hallway, reception desk in the manager’s office, and a desk next to the quarantine zone room).

 

2. Small S I C C Case

The Small S I C C case is a nice little soft case used for storing a variety of small items.

It takes up 2 inventory slots and provides an additional 25, netting a total of 23 extra inventory slots.

It is able to store a chain with Prokill medallion, currency, dog tags, gold skull rings, GP coin, keys, keycards, physical bitcoin, secure Flash drives, and Veritas guitar picks.

How to Obtain the Small S I C C Case:

This container does not have a spawn location.

Instead, it can be traded to Jaeger in exchange for:

  • 12 paracords
  • 15 duct tapes
  • 15 insulating tapes
  • 15 packs of nails

 

1. Lab. Red Keycard

The Lab. Red Keycard is needed to gain some pretty awesome weapon loot. It unlocks the door by the security arsenal in The Lab.

In this room, you can find a variety of ammunition, weapon mods, and weapons, such as the MP5 and M4A1 assault rifle. You could also find an antique teapot, antique vase, folder with intelligence, and Lab. Key for the arsenal storage room.

Lab. Red Keycard Spawn Locations:

Though this keycard is a rare find, you actually have a ton of different locations that you can check.

The Lab. Red Keycard spawns on:

  • Scavs (pockets and bags)
  • Reserve (Glukhar, RB-BK, and RB-VO wallets and document cases)
  • Interchange (Killa)
  • Woods (Shturman and Zhrec)
  • Customs (chest rigs and Marked room wallets and document cases)
  • Shoreline (East Wing Room 221, West Wing basement gym locker, West Wing Room 218, West Wing Room 203, and Administration building).

These items are sometimes hard to get, but they can totally revamp your playthrough.
