The Best Assassins Creed Odyssey Mods to Download

What are the best Assassin’s Creed Odyssey mods?

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is one of the best games in the series, and it is absolutely jam-packed with content.

However, once you’ve experienced everything in the vanilla game, you’re going to need mods to make your next playthrough exciting.

Fortunately, there’s no shortage of great AC Odyssey mods on Nexus, and today we’re rounding up the best of them!

The 10 Best Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Mods

While there are many mods for Odyssey on Nexus, not all of them improve the game enough to warrant a new playthrough.

The ones we’ve chosen to highlight have been selected based on the changes they make, their number of endorsements, and their stability.

So, before you dive back into ancient Greece, enjoy our list of the 10 best Assassin’s Creed Odyssey mods:

10. Younger Alexios

Best Assassins Creed Odyssey Mods Younger Alexios

Kicking off our list is a mod that we think fits incredibly well into the narrative if you prefer to play Kassandra as the protagonist.

When playing as Kassandra, Alexios is supposed to be your younger brother, and this mod makes him look the part!

In the vanilla game, without being told, you would never know which sibling was older despite there being at least a 10-year age gap between them.

Well, as the name of this mod suggests, when playing as Kassandra, you can now have a brother that looks as young as he’s supposed to be.

What we like about this mod is that it doesn’t feel out of place, and Alexios still looks formidable, just without the beard and wrinkles.

Plus, with Kassandra being confirmed as the canon protagonist of Odyssey, this mod just feels like it makes sense!

Of course, this mod doesn’t stop you from playing as a younger-looking Alexios yourself, though it does kind of break immersion.

9. Kassandra Enhanced Muscles

Best Assassins Creed Odyssey Mods Kassandra Enhanced Muscles

Kassandra is one of the best female video game characters of all time, and she definitely is a force to be reckoned with!

However, if you’ve ever wanted her to be as sculpted as the statues of the Greek gods you see dotted around, then this mod is for you!

As you can probably tell from the name, this mod enhances the appearance of Kassandra’s muscles to make her rival Athena.

There are many different options that come with this mod, some that remove or lighten Kassandra’s scars and enhance her muscles by different percentages.

This gives you much more control over how Kassandra looks, and it pairs well with the Player Customization mod further down our list.

Of course, the creator of this mod also has made the Alexios Enhanced Muscles mod, so if you prefer to play as him, you can also look ripped!

These are simple mods, but they’ve definitely earned a permanent place in our load orders because we love the way they look!

8. AC Odyssey Tweak Pack

Best Assassins Creed Odyssey Mods AC Pack

The AC Odyssey Tweak Pack is an extremely lightweight mod, but it implements a ton of great changes.

This mod allows you to set a custom XP modifier, enemy health and damage multipliers, and a custom drachmae multiplier.

You can also see custom healing rates, health boosts, bounty cooldown times, region levels, and remove horse speed restriction limits.

Like some of the best Skyrim mods, this Tweak Pack allows you to really customize your next playthrough to be truly unique.

Best of all, there is no complex installation for this mod, and all you have to do is run the .exe file and make the changes you want.

This mod is incredibly easy to use, even for players new to modding, and we highly recommend giving it a try!

7. VividFX Redux

Best Assassins Creed Odyssey Mods VividFX Redux

Now, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is a gorgeous game, but somehow, this mod manages to make it look even more stunning.

VividFX revolves around adding lifelike visuals to AC Odyssey by adding depth of field, increased sharpness, and more vibrant colors.

However, what we really love about this mod is that every change it makes can also be manually tweaked by users or turned off entirely.

For example, if you don’t like the depth of field effect, you can turn it off, or you can decrease the vibrancy of the colors by adjusting its slider.

This mod really makes AC Odyssey look remarkably cinematic, and we like that it isn’t just a one-size-fits-all reshade mod.

If you really want to make the colors pop while exploring ancient Greece, the VividFX Redux is worth checking out!

6. Ace Visual Overhaul Collection

Best Assassins Creed Odyssey Mods Ace Visual Overhaul Collection

Speaking of great visual enhancement mods, the Ace Visual Overhaul Collection is a collection of reshaders that we love to use as well!

This mod includes 6 different reshaders, each of which provides a ton of unique effects that improve the game’s appearance.

There are 2 realistic presets, 3 vivid ones, and 1 that is completely over-the-top, called the Olympus preset.

All of these presets also have several cinematic optional settings that you can enable to make it feel like you’re playing a film.

These optional features include depth of field, letter-boxing, anamorphic lens distortion, increased bloom, and chromatic aberration.

You can also access these settings by using their assigned hotkeys, so you can tweak them in-game to see the difference as you play.

It’s really hard to pick a favorite preset out of these, as they all make the game look absolutely stunning, especially if you’re after a cinematic look.

We would recommend trying them all out for yourself to see which one you like most for your next playthrough!

5. Kassandra Wonder Woman

Best Assassins Creed Odyssey Mods Kassandra Wonder Woman

Kassandra may not be from Themyscira, but she is from Sparta, which is close enough in our book!

What this mod does is allow you to start the game off with Kassandra already decked out with the Amazon Warrior set.

She will also have the matching Fang bow and Siphos sword, along with some select perks to give her an edge.

However, one thing we like about this mod is that it doesn’t start you off as an absolutely overpowered beast.

Instead, it gives you powerful tools, but you’re still at level 1 and will have to build yourself up as you would in the vanilla game.

Like some of the best Assassin’s Creed Valhalla mods that give you a starting boost, this mod works similarly but with a DC twist that is still lore friendly.

If you’re looking to start a new playthrough, this mod offers one of the best starts you can find on the Nexus!

4. Forger Patch Manager

Best Assassins Creed Odyssey Mods Forger Patch Manager

If you’re planning on installing any mods for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, do yourself a huge favor and get the Forger Patch Manager first.

Manually installing mods to any of the best video games of all time takes getting used to, and if you’re new to the process, it’s really easy to get overwhelmed.

At best, the mod won’t work, but at worst, you could end up corrupting your saves if you accidentally do something wrong!

Now, we don’t say this to freak you out if you’re new to modding, but it does help emphasize how helpful the Forger Patch Manager mod can be.

The Forger Patch Manager was designed to make installing mods simple, and it allows you to install any mod that uses .forge files easily.

This manager also allows you to enable certain parts of mods, and it is necessary for some, like Player Customizations.

We highly recommend grabbing this before any other mods, especially since it’s required for many to work correctly!

3. Inventory Editor

Best Assassins Creed Odyssey Mods Inventory Editor

While all Assassin’s Creed games have shown off an impressive array of armor, weapons, and items, Odyssey takes things to a whole new level.

There are a ton of things to find in this game, but not everyone may have time to hunt everything down!

Well, that’s where the Inventory Manager mod comes in, and it is definitely a must-have for replaying this game.

As the name suggests, this mod allows you to edit what you have in your inventory, so you can give yourself basically anything you could ever want.

For example, you can get single items or items in bulk, all ship cosmetics and lieutenants, and swap items around as you want.

This mod also allows you to modify engravings, damage multiples, and scaling, so you can truly be an all-powerful beast.

Want to create an engraving that gives you 100% damage with bows when you’re hidden? This mod can do it!

The Inventory Editor is definitely not for players looking for a balanced experience, but it sure is a ton of fun.

If you’ve already beaten the game and are just looking to have a good time, we highly recommend playing around with this mod!

2. Realistic ReShade

Best Assassins Creed Odyssey Mods Realistic ReShade

So, this is our favorite reshader for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and the changes it makes are downright amazing.

If you think Vanilla Odyssey is gorgeous, prepare to be blown away by the Realistic ReShade mod, which really brings this game to life.

What really makes this reshader stand out is that it enhances the already impressive visuals in the game without feeling heavy-handed.

It easily makes Odyssey look like one of the most graphically demanding PC games without absolutely destroying your frame rate.

With this mod, you can also toggle the reshader off and on using the END key, so you can see the difference it makes during different parts of the game.

What makes this one of the best visual mods, in our opinion, is that it makes the world feel more realistic while preserving the style of the vanilla game.

It removes the warm filter and increases the brightness and contrast to help even the smallest environmental details stand out.

The Realistic ReShade gives you a brand-new reason to seek out every synchronization point you can, as it produces some truly stunning vistas.

While VividFX and the Visual Overhaul Collection are impressive in their own rights, if you want realism, this is the mod for you!

1. Player Customizations

Best Assassins Creed Odyssey Mods Player Customizations

Taking our number one spot is a mod that fans have been wanting for a long time, and it’s all about creating your own custom characters!

While all the Assassin’s Creed games have had fixed appearances for their protagonists, in a huge open-world game like Odyssey, it’s nice to have options.

Well, this mod gives you so many options that you’ll probably be spending hours tweaking your character to get them just right!

Player Customizations allows you to choose from a variety of hairstyles, beards, head presets, body types, skin tones, and outfits.

You can even change the height of your character, making them as small as 4ft or as towering as 8ft, if you want!

What we love about this mod is that you can select the heads and bodies of well-known characters like Socrates and basically go through the game as them.

Trust us, there is nothing more hilarious than turning Socrates into a shit-talking mercenary or intimidating your foes as an 8ft tall Hades.

There are an absolute ton of character combinations you can make with this mod, and while not all of them will work seamlessly, a majority of them are perfect.

If you want to make your next Odyssey playthrough truly memorable, we definitely recommend grabbing this mod!
