20. Killzone: Shadow Fall


Kicking off the list of first-person shooters is Killzone: Shadow Fall.

Shadow Fall was developed by Guerilla Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment.

It was released on the PlayStation 4 in November 2015 and is the sixth game of the series.

Shadow Fall takes place thirty years after Killzone 3. Players are in charge of Lucas Kellan, a Shadow Marshal that’s looking into the continuous war between Helghast and Vekta.

The game is based on a science-fiction world, and certain levels are much more open than in previous games in the series.

Killzone: Shadow Fall received positive praise upon its release and is now considered to be one of the best-selling PlayStation 4 (PS4) games of all time.


19. Rage 2


Rage 2 is the 2019 sequel to Rage, released in 2011, and was developed by Avalanche Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks.

It was released to the world in October 2016 and is the sequel to the 2013 Shadow Warrior. 

The game can either be played in single-player or four-player co-op mode. Shadow Warrior 2 brings new level capabilities and level mechanics, allowing players the freedom of exploration and the opportunity to revisit previous missions.

Every mission contains a randomized design and new content, except for story-specific events. You’ll find over 70 different weapons throughout the game and killing enemies will reward you with gems and level-up weapons.

Far Cry 5 is a first-person shooter that was released on PlayStation 4 in 2018.

It was developed by Ubisoft Montreal & Toronto and published by Ubisoft, and, is the fifth instalment in the Far Cry Series.

The game is set in a fiction region of Montana, United States called Hope County. After a doomsday cult has taken over the county, players take control of a junior deputy sheriff who tries to work with members of the resistance to bring down the cults evil leader, Joseph Seed.

This first-person shooter was developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks in 2016.

It’s a complete reboot of the Doom franchise and the first major instalment since Doom 3 in 2004.

Players take control of a space marine and guide him through a battle against demonic forces from hell that have been unleashed by the Union Aerospace Corporation.

The gameplay is fast and similarly paced to the first two games in the franchise. This time around, however, you can perform executions, known as “Glory Kills” and the game comes with some nice character upgrades and environment traversal.

It also supports online multiplayer and a level editor called “SnapMap”.
