Alex is sent to Urzikstan to meet with rebel leader Farah Karim to track down the chemicals, in exchange to overthrow Russian leader General Barkov.
A group of suicide bombers who were involved with Al-Qatala, attack Piccadilly Circus. SAS forces led by Captain Price and Sergeant Garrick raid an Al-Qatala occupied house, where they find the location of the leader ‘The Wolf’.
Price, Garrick, Alex and Farah head to Ramaza hospital to find the wolf but fail to capture him. His right-hand man ‘The Butcher’ launches an attack on the United States Embassy to free him.
Farah’s Brother Hadir is found to be the thief who stole the chemicals, who then sets them off in the area. Hadir then seems to join Al-Qatala. Price and Farah take action and manage to kill The Wolf but fail to locate Hadir.
It is revealed that Farah and Hadir were left orphaned after Barkov’s invasion, where he prevented them from escaping the country. They learn Hadir plans to attack Barkov and find out the location of his factory. Barkov is eventually killed, and the factory is destroyed.
Warzone
Released on March 10th 2020, Warzone is a multiplayer mode that includes up to 150 players. The multiplayer mode is cross-platform and free-to-play for everyone without needing to purchase Modern Warfare.
Set in the fictional city of Verdansk, warzone features 2 main modes: Battle Royale and Plunder. The game initially featured squads of 3, with a solo mode being added a week after its release. 4 person squads were added on 8th April.
Battle Royale involves players competing to be the last man standing. Once parachuted into the game, the map starts to shrink as players are eliminated, making them to play in smaller areas.
Players who are killed are sent to the ‘gulag’ where one-on-one battles against other eliminated players occur, with the winner re-spawning into the game.
The aim of Plunder is to collect $1 million from stacks of cash scattered across the map, with the winners being the ones who obtains the most.
Cash is used at ‘Buy Stations’ around the map which can be spent on various items e.g. gas masks and ‘kill-streaks’. Cash can be exchanged at ‘Load-out’ drops in return for custom classes that players have created in regular multiplayer modes.
