Touhou Lost Word Tier List

Published

on

Our Touhou Lost Word Tier List will tackle yet another exciting and vibrant turn-based gacha RPG in the enormous world of gacha games.

Touhou Lost Word is actually a fangame of the popular Touhou Project, a series developed by Team Shanghai Alice. Don’t let that fool you though, Touhou Lost Word is a game that has a lot of depth and has a wide range of characters for you to collect!

Lost Word was first released in Japan in April 2020, and then later on released globally in May 2021. It was created by NextNinja, and published by Good Smile Company. (Check out our Free RPG Games article for a list of other worthy RPG game titles that you can try!)

While other gacha games usually have PvP (multiplayer) and PvE (singleplayer) mode, Touhou Lost Word only uses one: PvE. But don’t worry! It’s not technically a downside, but rather you get to focus on the game’s rich story as you play and level up your units, which in the game are called “Friends”.

The game currently has over 80+ Friends that you can collect through its gacha system. Indeed most of them are waifus, but they aren’t created equal! With these many units to go through, players may get overwhelmed (maybe that’s the point of gacha games? Kidding!), but you can chill, we got you covered.

In this article, we will rank all the Friends in Touhou Lost Word, and help you decide which Friends deserve all your love and affection.  Let’s get started!

TOUHOU LOST WORD: REROLL GUIDE

If you’re a seasoned gacha gamer, rerolling should be nothing new for you. But for the benefit of those who just picked up gacha games, rerolling basically means starting a new account, and re-using available resources at the start of your game to get your desired results.

The good news is that Touhou Lost Word is known for making the reroll process easier than most gacha games since all units have the same rates and don’t really have a rarity aspect – you get equal chances to summon all the characters that are available in the pool!

In Touhou Lost Word, as soon as you start the game there is already a predetermined Tutorial Roll, where you are given a forced ten pull. Now, if you don’t get the unit that you desire, then just reroll! Depending on which device you’re playing on, you only need to do the following in order to reroll:

Android OS:
  1. Go to app info, then click on Storage Usage
  2. Click “Clear Data”
iOS:
  1. Delete/Uninstall the game, and then reinstall
Who you should reroll for?
Youmou Konpaku!

Most (if not all!) Touhou Lost Word gamers will tell you that Youmou Konpaku is the most viable unit that you can get from the Tutorial Roll. Youmou’s attacks hit better than most of the units, and she has access to a strong AoE Last Word which is a valuable trait in the game.

Getting Youmou ensures that you are off to a good start, so if you’re willing to spend a few minutes rerolling, you should definitely aim for Youmou.

Summary

And there you have it, Friends! *pun intended*

Touhou Lost Word is a game that really shines on its summoning aspect – it is what sets it apart from other gacha games; players need not worry too much about roll rates as they are the same for all Friends that you can collect. What’s more, the game kicks off with the players already having strong units in their team, so you are sure to enjoy the game right off the bat!

Next, you should do is to understand your Friends’ stats and elemental affinities – both of which are key to building a good team that will have a sure chance of defeating your enemies and progressing in the story. Have fun!

If you haven’t played Touhou Lost Word yet, well what are you waiting for? The game is available on iOS and Android devices; get them at Google Play and Apple App Store now!
