OSRS: The 10 Best Crush Weapons (Ranked)
Which are the best crush weapons in OSRS?
We all have the dream of crushing our enemies and climbing to the top. I mean figuratively, of course, and not the literal crushing of people with hammers.
Although, in Old School RuneScape, your wildest dreams of crushing your enemies literally can become a reality.
In the entirety of RuneScape, crush-style weapons are fan-favorite and one of the most vital weapons (next to melee and ranged weapons!) especially for PvP and PvM. These crush weapons allow you to squash bugs, rocks, and spiders in the game.
Also, if you’re planning to defeat the king of Hellhounds known as Cerberus, or Tekton in Chambers of Xeric you will need to get quality crush weapons in your arsenal so you can swing and fight effectively.
OSRS: The 10 Best Crush Weapons (Ranked)
Now, the question is, which are the best crush weapons to use in Old School RuneScape?
To answer this, we’ve come up with a list of the top 10 best weapons you can use on Old School RuneScape including how you can find these weapons.
So, let’s have a look at each of them.
10. Hill Giant Club
A two-handed melee weapon, the Hill Giant club requires 40 Attacks to equip and is presently one of the best crushing weapons for non-members with an attack bonus of +65.
The weapon is quite similar in stat to the rune 2h even though the rune 2h has a better slash bonus.
However, its qualities fall short for many members.
The Hill Giant Club can be obtained by defeating Obor, the Hill Titan. Obor’s lair is located in the Edgeville dungeon.
The only way to have access is by killing giants until you get a giant key. The more giants you kill, the more chances you have to find the key.
9. Granite Maul
The Granite Maul is also a two-handed melee weapon that can be used to crush your enemies. And for a lot of players in the game, there’s no greater crush weapon to face off enemies compared to the Granite Maul.
The Granite Maul possesses a crush bonus of +81 which makes it a very formidable weapon.
Furthermore, it has a unique feature known as “Quick Smash” enabling players to inflict more damage in attack to make sure enemies are easily defeated.
If you are thinking of joining PvP play, then you need the Granite Maul.
To obtain the Granite Maul, you need to defeat Gargoyles which requires 75 Slayers to get the drop.
To easily get the Granite Maul, we recommend you go to the Slayer Tower as it houses many Gargoyles you can kill.
8. Zamorakian Hasta
The Zamorakian Hasta is technically a spear, so it is a stabbing weapon.
However, due to its incredible crush bonus, it can also be used as a crush weapon against weak enemies e.g the Vet’ion.
This instrument of destruction is the second most effective stab weapon and the fastest hasta in OSRS alongside Dragon Hasta. For a one-handed weapon, the Zamorakian Hasta also possesses the highest defensive bonus. The weapon has a crush bonus of +65 and a stab bonus of +85.
To get the Zamorakian hasta, you will need to go to Otto Godblessed taking along with you the Zamorakian spear while also paying the sum of 300,000 coins.
Players who have completed the Elite Kandarin Diary will be paid 150,000 coins which is half the amount of the Zamorakian hasta.
7. Dragon Battleaxe
Just behind the leaf-bladed battleaxe, the dragon battleaxe is the second-strongest battleaxe in the game.
Only members of the game who have completed the Heroes’ Quest and have at least 60 Attacks can wield this weapon.
The Dragon Battleaxe has a special attack known as Rampage. Executing this attack expends 100% adrenaline while causing 20% for damage to the enemy.
To get the battleax, you can easily buy it for 200,000 coins from Happy Heroes’ H’emporium in the Heroes’ Guild.
You can also earn as a reward in the Shades of Mor’ton minigame from a Gold Chest.
But we recommend you buy it from another player or at the Grand Exchange in Varrock since prices are usually lower.
6. Verac’s Flail
The Verac’s Flail is a very popular crush weapon in RuneScape, as its reputation for being one of the best crush weapons in the early version of the game precedes it.
The weapon deals a crush bonus of +82 which makes it worthy of all the hype.
However, the real deal is when you wield the Verac’s Flail alongside other weapons in the Verac’s set. Not activating this set, you get to have a chance of hitting through enemies’ prayer and defense totally.
This is highly effective against opponents who bank on high defense. Hence, the Verac’s Flail is considered one of the best weapons for PvM situations.
You can get the Verac’s Flail by going to the Barrows minigame but you will need to bank on your luck for the final chest. The location is known to have various lots so it shouldn’t be hard to find one.
5. Viggora’s Chainmace
The Viggora’s chainmace is a weapon that was once wielded by Viggora, the only human general among Zaro’s generals during the Second Age.
It is a situation and area-specific weapon that causes extensive damage when used at the right time.
With the weapon having a crush bonus of +67 players do have second thoughts on the weapon but its versatility will always be of great advantage.
The Viggora’s chainmace is very powerful within the wilderness dealing a 50% boost damage, 50% accuracy boost on opponents, and surpassing several of the weapons listed in this review.
To get the Chainmace, you will need to go to the Revenant Caves and kill the remnants that reside within the cave. Note that this weapon is quite limited so it can take a while to find it.
4. Elder Maul
The Elder Maul deals severe damage to enemies having a whopping crush bonus of +135.
This is the highest damage deal of a crush weapon in the entirety of the game!
The only reason it is fourth on the list is because of its very low speed of attack (6) which ranks it among the slowest weapons in the game and limits its DPS.
The Elder Maul is usually wielded in the Chambers of Xeric by solo raiders. It can be obtained at the Chambers of Xeric through a mega-rare reward once you’ve conquered Olm.
3. Abyssal Bludgeon
The Abyssal Bludgeon deserves all the credit and hype around it.
This weapon is a combination of three untradeable elements; the bludgeon spine, bludgeon claw, and the bludgeon axon.
The weapon has a strength bonus of +85, a +102 crush bonus, and a very rapid speed of attack.
These attributes are what give the Abyssal Bludgeon several uses and see it rank as one of the best crush weapons as regards DPS. This makes it a very fascinating weapon for many players.
The Abyssal Bludgeon is usually used against Gargoyles, Nightmare, and Slayers.
Asides from this, players use the weapon for basic strength training. To get the weapon, you will need to gather all three components; claw, spine, and axim, and defeat Abyssal Sire.
With the three components at hand, you can then build your personal Bludgeon.
2. Inquisitor’s Mace
The Inquisitor’s Mace is a single-handed crush weapon with a strength bonus of +89 and a crush bonus of +95.
With these features, the crush weapon cuts down enemies with ease.
Furthermore, with its high attack speed (which is higher than the Barrelchest anchor, and Elder Maul), the Inquisitor’s Mace deals out damages deadly and heavily.
With the crush weapon being a one-hand weapon, players can pair another weapon such as the Avenic Defender with it making the weapon deadlier.
To get the Inquisitor’s Mace crush weapon, you will need to travel to the Slepe and defeat the Nightmare of Ashihama. This isn’t an easy fight so you have to go fully prepared.
1. Dragon Warhammer
The Dragon Warhammer is a very unique crush weapon.
The weapon is not often used as a basic weapon, but instead for the unique ability and attack it possesses which is arguably the best in the entirety of Old School RuneScape.
This weapon has a decent +95 crush bonus which is not on the bad side at all.
However, by using its unique attack known as “Smash”, enemies defense gets lowered, offering you a better chance to land a blow. Another plus to this unique attack is that it can be maximized two times in a row having a stackable impact on enemies.
With the stackable impact, the Dragon Warhammer deals massive damage to enemies making it a vital crush weapon to have in your arsenal most especially for top-level PvM.
The Dragon Warhammer is a God-Tier weapon with a drop rate of 1/5000, so it’s quite difficult to obtain.
However, to get the weapon, you will need to crush Lizardman Shamans and you will be doing that for a long period to obtain the weapon.
Summary

With any of these weapons in your possession, you’re guaranteed to crush your enemies for good.
